History (NASOH) and Canadian Nautical Research Society on 1-4 June

Joining them will be North American members of the Society of
Nautical Research, based in the United Kingdom and publishers of
Mariners Mirror. The Theme of the conference is “Charting the Inland
Seas: Recent Studies in Great Lakes Research.”
While the 11 speakers are unknown at press time, Pat Labadie,

morning’s introductory speaker, and historian William Cronin is
Friday night’s after-dinner speaker. The program co-chairs are Vic
Mastone, Director, Massachusetts Board of Underwater Archaeological
Resources, Boston, and Jeff Gray, Superintendent, Thunder Bay
National Marine Sanctuary and Underwater Preserve. Conference
details and registration forms will be posted in February at

one of the evening receptions. The vessel will moor just a short
